Alicia leaned against the side of the elevator and closed her eyes. If it wasn’t for the “ding” that let her know that she had reached her floor, she would have gladly fallen into a deep sleep. Instead, as the doors slid open, she reluctantly opened her eyes and left the elevator. Only motivated by the thought of her comfortable bed, she fixed her gym bag on her shoulder and walked tiredly down the hall. She rummaged through her bag and found her keys as she arrived at the door. Just before she put it in the lock, she froze.
